🌏 Adventure Awaits: From London to the Lands Down Under

After months of planning (and some serious itinerary Tetris), it’s finally happening — we're setting off on a once-in-a-lifetime journey from London to Australia and New Zealand!

This trip has it all: weddings, campervans, tropical rainforests, dramatic coastlines, and a cruise to top it all off. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s ahead.

🇦🇺 First Stop: Perth, Western Australia

We’ll kick things off in Perth, where we’ll catch up with family, soak up the sun, and get ready for a very special occasion — Sarah’s sister is getting married! 💍

To celebrate, we’re hitting the road in a campervan and exploring some of the most remote and beautiful spots in Western Australia.

On our WA wishlist:

• Photography in Margaret River 🍷

• Sunset at Pinnacles Desert 🌅

• Hiking the gorges of Kalbarri National Park 🏞️

• Campfire dinners under the stars ✨

🌿 Northern Territory: Darwin & Kakadu

Next, we fly to Darwin, where the outback meets the tropics. We’ll be spending time in the world-famous Kakadu National Park, exploring ancient rock art, lush wetlands, and hopefully spotting a croc or two (from a safe distance!).

🚐 Road Trip: Darwin to Cairns

We’re trading planes for wheels again and setting out on an epic road trip from Darwin to Cairns — one of Australia’s great overland adventures.

Expecting:

• Thermal pools in Mataranka 🏞️

• Photography at Nitmiluk Gorge 🚣

• Remote roadhouses and roadside chats

• Crossing into tropical Far North Queensland 🌴

🎄 Victoria Vibes: Melbourne, Family & More Van Life

From Cairns, we’ll fly south to Melbourne, where another campervan awaits! This time it’s about family, food, and national parks.

Highlights we’re planning:

• Exploring the Great Ocean Road 🐚

• Hiking in Grampians National Park 🥾

• Reconnecting with loved ones and soaking up cosy Victorian towns

🚢 The Grand Finale: New Zealand Cruise

We’ll wrap up this adventure with a bang — boarding the Discovery Princess in Sydney for a cruise around New Zealand.

Over 2 weeks, we’ll explore both islands by sea:

• Bustling cities like Auckland & Dunedin

• Stunning scenery in Fiordland National Park 🏔️

• Māori culture, volcanoes, penguins, and the Bay of Islands

✈️ Homebound

We’ll disembark back in Sydney, spend a little time soaking in our last Aussie views, and then fly back to London — tired, inspired, and full of stories to share.
